TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PREMADES/AUCTION ART

PAYMENT

Payment will be processed through PAYPAL invoice. No refunds are permitted after the payment is sent. Payment should be made upfront in full at the time of purchase.

Please do not bid on the piece in auction or claim the premade piece if you do not plan to pay, or if you cannot pay for an extended period of time.

Certain auction houses have rules regarding the timeliness of payments and I will follow these.

For amounts over $100 USD I offer payment plans. I will discuss with you to create a payment plan that works for your individual circumstances.

RESELLING/TRADING

Resells and trades are not allowed. Art can be given as a gift. You can purchase the piece with the intention of giving it as a gift immediately, or give the piece as a gift to another person later on after purchase. (This is not a trade where you exchange the piece for another.) Please let me know if you do this so I can keep track of who is using the piece. If you need a new watermark or text on the piece provided by me, the fee is $5 USD.

SHARING

I ask that you always use a watermark or text version when sharing your piece online. This can be your own name/watermark “Name”, mine “PeppermintRain,” or both, “Name / Art by PeppermintRain.” My logo watermark on a piece is also acceptable for sharing. This is to prevent art theft.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

A full resolution, textless, and watermark-free version will be provided to you upon purchase of the piece plus any added text, crops, or resizes you want.

I will add custom text/custom watermarks to your image for free. It is recommended to prevent art theft.

If you do not want any text versions, I will send 2 versions: 1) The original full resolution, textless, and watermark-free version 2) a version with my logo watermark and credit for sharing online.

Color changes, edits, and other changes are offered on certain pieces only. Please ask if interested.

OC CREATION
You may use the character featured in the piece as your OC/original character. Design credit should be given to me as the original artist and creator. “Design by PeppermintRain” somewhere in your character info is fine. A link back to me in some way such as my website, linktree, or any social media is appreciated but it isn’t required.

OWNERSHIP

As the original artist, I retain the rights to include the pieces in my portfolio. This includes posting to social media, my website, my discord server, etc.

You may not claim that you created the artwork yourself.

I don’t allow “co-ownership” at this time.

You may use the character art and design for whatever purpose you want so long as it is not commercial (for profit) use. My premade pieces are for personal-use only. If you would like commercial use, please contact me; it will be an additional charge.

I do not support generative AI images. You may not, under any circumstances, use any of my work in or with generative AI programs

What is a premade art piece? It is an art piece that I created myself following a prompt, concept, or theme, which you can purchase to use as a design for your original character, personal display pictures, artwork collections, etc. It is sometimes called an “adoptable” character piece when buyers plan to use it for character design purposes.
